How our Founders built Alcom IT

Our founders quickly realised there is a fantastic market out there for people who require support with their IT issues. The journey began here!

The Epiphany…

One of our founders had worked at various IT companies, and discovered there is a huge lack of IT Support companies who really CARED about the services and the way they assisted their customers.

They learnt how much the industry was lacking in personable & bubbly, yet efficient & professional individuals. So the founders understood this was something they wanted to be profound in their business.

The Vision…

Our founders wanted to create an IT company that above all, would provide a friendly and efficient IT support service. Fixing issues for customers who didn’t have the expertise needed.

In 1998 they began fixing issues for customers on an ad-hoc basis, alongside their current job roles. Investing as much time where possible in evenings and weekends, to attend sites & fix issues for their customers.

The First Steps…

Alcom IT began in a small spare room, in a family house.

The shop opened up in Chesham in 1999 where they grew their business for 16 years.

The One-Stop Shop Opened…

Within a year the founders opened up a customer facing, one-stop shop.

The HQ Relocated…

With the industry growing, and a higher demand for online support, they redesigned and relocated their HQ to a new workshop & office in Aylesbury.
