Corporate Social Responsibility

At Alcom IT we understand that our work doesn’t stop at IT. We have a corporate social responsibility to help our community, whether this is a charity, the environment, or our employees.

What we do for our community

We sponsored Youth Concern’s no smile competition which recognised the tough times’ young people faced during the pandemic.

Our amazing staff raised £50 for Children in Need on Christmas Jumper day 2021, wearing some outrageous jumpers!

We help support the IT and accounts for
Breast Friends.

We are soon taking over the accounts for achurchnearyou.com and have offered our IT and website support too.

Our IT Support Technician, Adam, volunteers as a Training Officer at RAF Air Cadets.

What we do for the Environment

Our staff offer remote solutions to save travel, helping us to lower our carbon footprint where possible.

We try and reduce our printing as much as possible by keeping everything online unless print copies are absolutely necessary.

Recycling is the minimum we can all do to help our environment so we make sure we do this as much as we can.

Our clients are always encouraged by us to reduce their IT servers by moving all of their data to the Cloud.

We have also reduced our own IT servers by moving all of our data to the Cloud.

What we do for Our People

We are committed to investing in our team and recruiting apprentices is a valuable part of our business growth strategy. Our latest is Conor who started in 2021 and has been outstanding!

We are very passionate about internal promotion. In 2021 we promoted Matt who started with us back in 2012 as an Apprentice to Telecoms Account Manager.

Our staff are sent on training courses and encouraged to take exams where we see fit to improve their skills and better their careers. (dropbox sales & administration)

Our staff undertook customer service training with Helen Pettifer and we believe our reviews reflect this!
